VINCENNES, Ind. - Every college student reaches a point when it is time to choose a major field of study. For some it’s as easy as following a lifelong dream. For others the answer doesn’t come so easily. Vincennes University offers students an opportunity to explore their interests through Explore VU open house events.

A joint Explore VU open house will be held on April 3, hosted by the College of Social Science, Performing Arts, and Communication and the College of Humanities. Check-in will begin at 5 p.m. (EDT) at the Center for Art and Design, 921 N. 3rd St., and the open house will conclude at 8 p.m.

Students will experience hands-on laboratory activities and program exploration with faculty, and Ira Wagler, author of “Growing Up Amish,” will speak about his VU experiences at 6 p.m. in Shircliff Auditorium, located in the Shircliff Humanities Center, 130 E. Harrison St.
