Symposium, America's Descent Down the Rabbit Hole of Opioid Abuse: Building a Ladder Through Prevention, Treatment, and Enforcement

Symposium sessions, 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

WHERE:

Starting at Beckes Student Union, 1101 N. 2nd St.

WHY:

The Symposium allows students in their final year of the Homeland Security Bachelor’s Degree program to showcase their accumulative knowledge gained toward a specific topic. Students will address a detailed overview of today’s opioid crisis, its prevention through community programs, treatment by healthcare professionals, and enforcement by first responders.

Keynote speakers, including the Superintendent of the Indiana State Police, will discuss current trends and positive solutions to the nationwide epidemic.
