January 8, 2018 / Registration is now underway for VU sport camps
VINCENNES, Ind. - Vincennes University baseball camp registration is underway now for sessions in January and April. Registration forms and complete details are available at www.vinu.edu/summer-camps.
Two winter camps - Pitching and Catching Camp and Hitting Camp - will be held on Jan. 21, 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. (EST), at Beless Gym, 116 West Indianapolis Avenue. These camps are for top high school players who are interested in playing college ball. Coaching staff will focus on many different aspects of the game, including pitching mechanics, cross symmetry, arm care, tag and force plays, pitch recognition, and more. The cost is $50 per camp or $80 for both camps.
The Vincennes University Baseball Team and coaching staff will host Youth Spring Baseball Camp for ages 6-13 on April 8, 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., at Jerry Blemker Field, 1562 Old Terre Haute Road. All aspects of the game will be included and campers will experience mechanics and stretching techniques, base running, hitting, throwing, fielding and more. Campers will also enjoy a pizza party and receive a VU t-shirt. Registration is $55 before March 30 and $60 after.
