Friday and Saturday
VINCENNES, Ind. – The Vincennes University baseball team’s
four-game Mid-West Athletic Conference series against host Illinois
Central College will now start on Friday and conclude on Saturday due
to weather concerns.
The teams will play doubleheaders both days in East Peoria, Illinois.
First pitch is at 3 p.m. EDT on Friday. Saturday’s action begins at 2
p.m. EDT.
The contests were originally scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, but
were moved up due to rain in the forecast on Sunday.
The Trailblazers are heading into the series with momentum. They beat
nationally ranked Lincoln Land 11-9 last Sunday in a MWAC
doubleheader, then won 8-3 over Frontier on Tuesday. VU owns a 17-15
overall record and is 5-7 in conference play.
