April 22, 2019 / Trailblazer golf competes in Rend Lake Spring Invite
WHITTINGTON, Ill. – Sophomore Zach Hall tied for 12th to lead
Vincennes University in the Rend Lake Spring Invite on Monday.
Hall shot an 81 in the first round on Sunday and a 78 in the final
round for a two-day total of 15-over-par 159 at Rend Lake Golf Course.
Freshman Matt Jordan finished 18th. He had back-to-back 83s and
posted a 166.
Sophomore Joe Allbright placed 19th. He fired an 84 in the final
round. He opened with an 83. Allbright finished with a 167.
Freshman Cole Parmer tied for 24th. He followed up a 90 with an 87
for a 177 total.
Rend Lake’s Nate Neal won the individual title by two strokes over
teammate Jack Pring. Neal posted a 142 (72-70). Pring shot a 69 and 75
for a 144.
The Trailblazers placed fifth in the team standings with a total of
669 strokes. They shot a 337 in the opening round. In the final round,
VU shot a 332.
Rend Lake won the team title at 586 strokes (292-294). North Central
Missouri finished as runner-up with 631 strokes (305-326).
VU plays next on May 3 in the Lincoln Trail Invite at Quail Creek
Country Club in Robinson, Illinois.
