May 11, 2018 / VU-Purdue partnership expands options for agriculture studies

JASPER, Ind. - Expanding accessibility and extending the educational reach of Vincennes University’s College of Technology to students at the VU Jasper Campus is the focus of a new agreement with Purdue University.

Beginning with the Fall 2018 semester, VU Jasper agriculture students who are pursuing an associate degree can take part in a direct admissions program to obtain a bachelor’s degree at Purdue University.

The 1+1+2 program gives students the opportunity to take first-year courses on the Jasper Campus and second-year courses on the Vincennes Campus.  Upon successful completion of the associate degree, eligible students may then transfer to Purdue to complete the baccalaureate degree.

This agreement follows a long history of partnership between Vincennes University and Purdue University.  "I'm excited to expand this partnership to the Jasper Campus, which will allow residents of Dubois County and the region to pursue a Purdue Agriculture degree locally," noted Christian Blome, Jasper Campus assistant vice president and dean.
