Written by Frances Goodrich and Albert Hackett and newly
adapted by Wendy Kesselman, “The Diary of Anne Frank” is a haunting
and poignant look at the lives of Anne Frank, her family, and her
friends during the tragic events of World War Two. The play was
adapted from the book, “The Diary of a Young Girl,” by Anne Frank, and
takes place during the family’s two years in hiding. They are joined
by the Van Daan family and Mr. Dussel, a dentist. They live in secrecy
and their time is fraught with complex emotions and relationships.
However, they strive to persevere through their harrowing circumstance.
